The climate crisis is a monumental challenge that can often seem too big for us as individuals to have any impact in tackling. Huge factories and power stations bellow out millions of tonnes of greenhouse gases, millions of flights take off and land each and every day, and millions of hectares of forest and rainforest are destroyed for human activities in some of the most environmentally-sensitive areas on this planet.

And it’s not just the climate crisis. The amount of plastic that litters our natural land and pollutes our oceans is staggering. As useful as the invention of plastic has been for things like technology and food packaging it has been equally, if not more, deadly to the natural environment. Microplastics have been found on the highest peaks and in the deepest deaths and we’re still using and producing an excessive amount of plastic.

The thing is, if everyone in the world made small changes that are easy to make and can take minimal effort for us all to do. That’s what You Can Save The World is all about. It’s easy for us to make small differences and make just little changes to our lifestyle that can all add up. You Can Save The Word has a huge number of ideas for small changes in the way we shop, the way consume food and how we can actively get involved in tackling any of the environmental crises that we face.

For anyone new to sustainability or anyone looking for new ideas on how they can live more environmentally-conscious lives, You Can Save The World is perfect. Each section of the book contains a number of simple changes and explains how we can all do them, and even looks at the impact that making that change can have on the environment. If you’re not sure where to start or not sure how you can continue making changes, I can’t recommend this book enough. You can pre-order the book here.

When it comes to tackling the climate crisis or plastic pollution, the scale of it can be overwhelming. But even as individuals there is still plenty we can do. You can make a difference. You can save the world.
